Context
The Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU) project is part of the modernization of one of the most complex and busy stations on the London Underground, with the aim of improving its capacity, safety, and operability.
Krolmap, through its founding partner, participated as the technical lead in the field of installations, within a highly demanding and operational environment.
Challenge
Ensuring the correct integration of multiple technical systems within an active underground infrastructure, with severe space constraints and strict safety and regulatory requirements.
Intervention
The Krolmap team participated as technical lead in the design, review, and coordination of key installations during the design, construction, and commissioning phases:
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical installations
- Drainage and water management
- Ventilation and HVAC
- Fire protection
- Pumping systems
The approach focused on ensuring technical consistency across disciplines and their correct integration within a complex and operational environment.
Key Findings
The project highlights the importance of well-coordinated multidisciplinary engineering, especially in critical infrastructure where safety and operability are the top priorities.
Result
- Effective integration of systems in an operational environment
- Compliance with demanding technical standards (TfL)
- Contribution to improved station capacity and safety
- Participation in an internationally referenced project
Added Value
The Krolmap E&S team brings experience in complex and international projects, where technical coordination and systems integration are key to success.
