Data Center with Hybrid Energy Generation (25 MW – Phase 1)

Client

Developer: Krolmap E&S, S.L.
Technical support:
Dexmah Ltd.

Context

Krolmap is promoting the development of a new data center in the Aragon region, conceived from the outset with a focus on energy self-sufficiency and the transition towards clean energies.

The initial phase of the project envisages a capacity of 25 MW, with on-site generation based on natural gas and a defined strategy for evolution towards biogas and green hydrogen.

In a context of increasing electricity grid congestion, this solution enables the project to be unblocked and accelerated through an alternative energy approach, aligned with the transition towards more sustainable energies.

Challenge

Developing a critical infrastructure capable of:

  • Guaranteeing high energy availability
  • Reducing grid dependency
  • Integrating current solutions with future technologies
  • Preparing the system for a progressive transition towards clean energies

Intervention

Krolmap, as developer, together with the technical support of Dexmah, has defined a comprehensive energy solution based on:

  • On-site distributed generation
  • Flexible and scalable architecture
  • Medium and long-term energy transition strategy
  • Integration with the Data Center’s critical systems

Key Findings

The project demonstrates the viability of energy-independent data centers, designed from the outset to evolve towards more sustainable models.
The key lies in combining operational reliability with planning that allows for future technological adaptation.

Result

  • Definition of a robust energy model for 25 MW IT
  • Reduced dependency on the electricity grid
  • Acceleration of project development
  • Foundation prepared for the integration of green hydrogen

Added Value

Krolmap, with the support of Dexmah, drives solutions that combine engineering and energy innovation, developing future-ready infrastructure.
